One moment…
One moment…
We are a small, careful team building a calm place for families to come back to after a loss. No queues. No call-centre scripts. Just plain letters, gentle steps, and a real person when you need one.

Mr Tagbo W. Okeke
Founder, AFTERSHIFT Legacy
A word from the founder
“I built AFTERSHIFT Legacy after watching good people I care about drown in forms at the worst moment of their lives. Grief is hard enough without a 47-page packet from a bank arriving on a Tuesday morning. So we wrote the letters, found the addresses, and built a calm place to come back to.
Everything we make has to pass what I call the Grandmother Test: would it be usable by a 70-year-old widow, on her phone, the day after the funeral? If not, we start again. You don't have to figure this out alone. That is the whole point.”
What we believe
These are the rules we hold ourselves to. If we ever break one, please write to the founder directly.
No jargon. No legal codes. No cold forms. Every word is written so it would make sense to your grandmother — at any age, on any day.
Account numbers and sensitive details are encrypted on your device before they ever leave your browser. Only you hold the key to your private vault.
Estate law is different everywhere. We built AFTERSHIFT Legacy for the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia — and only those four.
The harder moments are met with warmth, not automation. When you need a person, a real one is here — by email, by chat, by call.
Our mission
To be the calm hand beside every family, in the days and weeks that follow a loss.
We measure success in lowered shoulders, not in dashboards. If a letter we wrote saved you a phone call with a stranger — that is the whole company. If the Grief Companion said the right thing on a hard evening — that, too.
We work in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia only, because estate law is local and we want to do it properly. Wherever you are in those four countries, we have a letter for that.
It takes about two minutes to write your first letter. We'll keep your place if you need to stop.
Or write to [email protected] — we read every message.
